Sub-Committies of South West Mayo Development Company

Social Inclusion Sub-Committee

This sub-committee is made up of four board members and six representatives form bodies such as, Mayo VEC, Travellers, Western Health Board, Islanders and People with Disabilities. This sub-committee deals with the Local Development Social Inclusion Programme. Its members are as follows;

Economic Development Sub-Committee

This committee is made up of board members and statutory bodies such as Community & Enterprise Department of Mayo County Council, Teagasc and members of the County Community Forum. It deals with the National Rural Development Programme project approvals and budgets. It's members are as follows;

Staffing Sub-Committee

This committee deals with staffing issues and comprises of the Company CEO, Chairperson of the Board, Chairperson's of both the Economic Development sub-committee and the Social Inclusion sub-committee and one other board member.

Rural Social Scheme Sub-Committee

This committee deal with the issues arising from the administration of the Rural Social Scheme. The committee is made up of board members with an interest in farming issues and two other members of the community.
