From sports complexes and resource centres to community tourism initiatives and care organisations, social enterprises are at the forefront of delivery of community services throughout the county. To support their work, an innovative new Community Training Programme for social enterprises located in counties Mayo, Limerick and Tipperary commences this September.

The Cooperating to Succeed Programme will feature interactive workshops on a host of practical topics including digital innovation, measuring social impact, nurturing human potential, managing dynamic boards and developing strategies for growing revenue.

The first workshop in the series explores Trading Securely Online. Social enterprises who are interested in learning about online advertising, ransomeware, cyber securing the home and handling cyber incidents will find the workshop particularly helpful. The workshop commences at 7pm on September 22nd and will be delivered via the Zoom platform.

Announcing the new programme, Norita Clesham of South West Mayo Development Company notes that "when we spoke to social enterprises about their training support needs, each stressed the importance of working with and sharing experiences with other like-minded organisations. They also wanted opportunities to work with subject matter experts on topics that will be important to their future sustainability. Bringing all of their needs together, we have designed the Community Training Programme with our partners in Limerick and Tipperary. Cooperating together will provide invaluable networking and shared learning opportunities for all involved."

The Cooperating to Succeed initiative is a free programme of training support for social enterprises in Mayo. Social entrepreneurs who are interested in participating can download a copy of the training brochure here and register to join the programme online at https://cooperatingtosucceed.ie.
