Little Star's Crèche - Ballinrobe

In March 2001, a crèche was set up in the Parish Centre, Ballinrobe. This crèche employs a full-time supervisor, Philomena Sweeney and an assistant, Breda Sweeney. These positions are funded by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform under the Equal Opportunities Childcare Programme. South West Mayo Development Company administer funding from the EOCP.

The crèche cares for the children of the travelling community attending further education courses in the Parish Centre, run by County Mayo VEC. Catering for the children of parents attending further education in St. Catherines Senior Traveller Training centre, the Parish Centre, Ballinrobe"
